Suited – poem
Posted August 29, 2019
on:How dare you,
Soften your voice and,
“Someone else you’ll find brilliant”
Knowing
I already find that brilliance
while alienate me right there.
.
How dare you,
Lullabying and deceiving
while backing out and running away
Cowardly
knowing who I set eyes on.
.
How dare you,
Blunting my senses
Wording insipidity
Depicting illusions.
The vision that never comes, never did, never will
.
The story repeating
The curse recurring
The loneliness spreading
But bestow upon me
is luck
I did not scar my heart for a coward!
My patchy,
scratchy,
bloody abrasive heart
Raw and fleshy beating
Forever wait for the suited one.
